In the latest report from
Economics Development Board, the activity will continue to abet the city-state’s economic
growth.
27% of the manufacturers estimates that business conditions will improve for a better
2011.
Besides the transport engineering cluster, specifically the marine and offshore engineering
segment, the electronic clusters is the next promising with a net weighted balance of 14% of the
entire electronic manufacturers foreseeing a better business situation in the first half of 2011.
The semiconductor and computer peripheral segment, for instance, expressed a positive
outlook as demands for computing and consumer electronics products will persist in the ensuing
months, while the rest of the manufacturing clusters also projects healthy business activity in the
first six months.
