An air compressor is a machine used to compress and pressurize air that is
then released by a rapid burst, by converting electricity into kinetic energy.
There many various types of air compression, these can be positivedisplacement or non-positive displacement type.
In order to achieve the compression for the positive-displacement type of
compressors, air is forced into the chamber in which the volume is
minimized.
Piston-type air compressors use the theory of positive
displacement by using the regular activity of the piston to propel air into the
chamber.
Unidirectional valves are used to direct air into the chamber.
Same
as the piston type, rotary screw compressor also acquire the principle of
positive displacement.
The volume of air leading to the chamber is
minimized by turning on the two matching helical screw.
Slotted rotor with
mottled blade placement is used in vane compressor to minimize the volume
and lead the air to the chamber.
