Children s Book Author Offers Comfort to Grieving Families
Bringing comfort to families grieving the death of a beloved pet is the goal of
Bailey?s Heartstrings, written by Joy Chicatelli, a caring animal lover who grew up
on a small farm in Holmes County, Ohio.
Valley View, OH, May 18, 2011 -- The new author was inspired to write the story
while dealing with a personal experience involving her dog, Louis, who needed
weekly chemotherapy treatments.
"During Louis? treatments I met many parents who
talked about having to explain the eventual death of a pet to their children.
I
wanted to create a positive and comforting way to help them explain this difficult
life experience," Chicatelli said.
"I love to write, and as an attorney, I do it all the time," said the former
corporate executive, assistant prosecuting attorney and law firm partner.
"But, I
wanted to challenge myself, explore creative writing, and publish a children?s
book.
"
